Morocco forces lockdown in Tangier amid COVID-19 outburst


(MENAFN) Morocco stated it is isolating the northern city of Tangier as of Monday to control the spread of COVID-19 outburst in the city.

The Moroccan Interior Ministry stated measures comprise the holdup of public transport, both road, and rail, to and from Tangier.

According to the ministry, people will be able to travel within the city only through a special authorization attained from the local authorities.

The ministry also advised all people to stay at their homes and not to go out unless quite necessary.
