Oman registers 2,164 new COVID-19 cases


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Muscat, July 13 (Petra) –– Oman said on Monday it recorded 2,164 new infections with the coronavirus, raising the caseload since the outbreak to 58,179.
The Omani News Agency, quoting a Health Ministry statement, said that 1,572 of the cases were for Omani nationals and 592 were expats residing in the Gulf Arab country.
It said that the death toll from the pandemic was 259, while 37,257 patients have recovered.
