COVID-19 deaths in United Kingdom hit over 44k


(MENAFN) The Health and Social Care department of Britain said on Monday that 67 more coronavirus cases have died due to the infection on Sunday afternoon, increasing the total number of COVID-19 deaths across the kingdom to 44,198.

Deaths in all settings are included in the death toll, such as deaths occurring at hospitals, care homes and the community.

The department said that 284,900 patients were diagnosed with coronavirus across the country in total as of Monday, marking a daily rise of 624 cases.

Millions of people in England emerged from the COVID-19 lockdown on the so called "Super Saturday" to enjoy coffee shops, bars, restaurants and hair salons for the first time in over three months.
