Chile reports 3,758 new cases of coronavirus


(MENAFN) By Sunday, the combined number of patients who have diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Chile has reached to 291,847 whereas the national tally of lives that have been claimed due to the merciless pandemic of the virus amounted to 6,192 of the total cases.

During the past 24-hour period as of Sunday, Chile registered 3,758 more patients tested positive for the virus in the stated period, while at the same time, the deadly infection caused the death of 141 more patients across the state.

Over the stated period, the country conducted a mass testing for a total of 17,287 suspected cases of COIVD-19, with the national tally of tests amounted to 1,163,880 up to date.

Furthermore, 2,077 patients have been held in ICUs, with 1,731 of the patients on ventilators. Of these, 404 are in critical condition.
