(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 2 (KUNA) -- The Al-Khafji joint oilfield resumed production on Wednesday, Acting CEO of the Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC), Abdullah Al-Sumaiti, said Thursday.
The production has been suspended for one month, since June 1st, and the joint executive committee of Al-Khafji joint operations decided to resume production on July 1st, Al-Sumaiti said in press statement.
Al-Sumaiti emphasized company's full commitment to the decisions and directives of the Ministry of Oil and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) regarding oil production rates in joint Al-Khafji and Wafra oilfields during the coming period according to the operational plans in agreement with the partners at the region.
