Istanbul accounts for 54 percent of novel Coronavirus cases in Turkey


(MENAFN) On Wednesday July 1 Fahrettin Koca Turkish Health Minister stated that the past week's new Coronavirus cases in Istanbul, the main city in Turkey, accounted for 54 percent of the entire boost across the country.

The minister stated at a press conference that this extraordinary increase is also watched in the capital Ankara, northwestern Bursa, Central Anatolian Konya in addition to southeastern Gaziantep and Diyarbakir provinces in the past week.

Koca stated cautioning about the trend of reduce in the average age of Coronavirus cases in Turkey in the past month that the Coronavirus cases are seen frequently flanked by 25 and 45.

On Wednesday July 1 Koca stated that Turkey's Coronavirus cases increased by 1,192, raising the entire figure in the country to 201,098.
