Ugandan coffee mainly imported by Europe in May

A monthly report released by the Ugandan Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) showed that Europe has imported the highest amount of coffee from Uganda in the earlier month of May.

The report said that Europe made up 66.8 percent of the market share, as Italy has bought the highest amount of Ugandan in the cited month, making up 31.18 percent of the market share.

The Ugandan coffee exports of Africa stood at 19.85 percent and most the product has been imported by Sudan, Morocco and South Sudan.

According to the report, the total coffee exports of Uganda in May stood at a value of USD42.5 million.
