Video: Warning issued in UAE as dusty weather causes low visibility

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The National Centre of Meteorology, NCM, has called on drivers and pedestrians to take all necessary precautions when on roads due to blowing dust and sand causing poor horizontal visibility.

The NCM, in its statement today, warned of the poor visibility of less than 1,500 meters at times due to fresh winds with speed reaching up to 40kmph at times in various coastal and inland areas of the country.

"Dusty and partly cloudy weather for today with a probability of some convective clouds formation eastwards by afternoon," NCM said.

Temperatures will range from 39 to 44C in the interior regions, 35 to 38C along the coast and 28 to 35C in the mountains.
The maximum humidity would be 60 to 70 per cent across coastal, 50 to 70 per cent in interior regions and between 40 to 60 per cent in the mountains.
Winds reaching speeds of 40kmph are also likely in some areas. Fresh Northwesterly winds might blow dust and sand over some exposed areas.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
