Saudi- KSrelief Masam Project Dismantles 2,782 Mines in Yemen during Second Week of May


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, May 17, 2020, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's project for clearing mines in Yemen (Masam) demined 2,782 mines during the second week of May 2020, including 34 antipersonnel mines, 382 anti-tanks, 2,321 unexploded ordnance, and 45 explosive devices.
Since the beginning of the project, as many as 166,987 landmines planted by Houthi militias have been dismantled.
The project aims at clearing Yemeni lands of landmines and unexploded ordnance in addition to training Yemeni national cadres on demining.
