Morocco: 199 coronavirus infections in past hours


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, May 9 (KUNA) -- Morocco witnessed in past hours 199 new infection cases with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) raising the whole count of people contaminated with the globally dreaded bug to 5,910.
The director of the infections department, Mohammad Al-Yobi, said in a statement, on Saturday, recoveries reached 2,461 after 137 persons sickened with the contamination were counted.
With no more deaths, whole figure of fatalities remained at 186.
The virus has continued to infect persons within families and labor communities, "thus we could not attain the aspired decline in number of the infections," Yobi acknowledged. (end)
