Srinagar: The administration in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Tuesday announced that the indoor sports Stadium has been converted into a fully equipped wellness center to treat COVID-19 patients.

All the Covid-19 patients have been shifted from GMC Baramulla to the newly established center which has capacity of 100 beds and all the requisite facilities to treat the COVID patients, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo said today.

The move, he said was taken keeping in view the convenience of patients as there was a restriction of sorts in shifting out patients already receiving treatment for other conditions.

'And since indoor stadium is a new building and has a lot of space, we decided to commandeer it for this specific purpose,' Itoo added.
