(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine produced 2.5 million tonnes of coal in April 2020, which is 39% less than planned, according to the Coal Miners Union of Ukraine.
"In April, coal mining enterprises of Ukraine of all forms of ownership produced 2,527,500 tonnes of coal. The plan was fulfilled by 61%," the Coal Miners Union stated with a reference to data provided by the Energy and Environment Protection Ministry.
Since the start of the year, Ukrainian coal mining enterprises of all forms of ownership have extracted 9,429,611 tonnes of coal, which is 92% of the target. State-owned coal mining enterprises have produced 838,593 tonnes of coal since the beginning of the year, which is 433,007 tonnes less than planned.
