'Jordan Phosphate' sterilizes government facilities in Aqaba


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Aqaba, Apr. 20 (Petra) -- The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) on Monday sterilized a number of government departments and public facilities in Aqaba, as part of its contribution to the anti-coronavirus efforts.
Chairman of the JPMC's Board of Directors, Muhammad Thunaibat, said the company has offered up its resources in the industrial complex to serve the governorate and citizens, which reflects cooperation between national institutions during the unique circumstances the Kingdom is experiencing.
He underlined that the sterilization operations will continue under the request and guidance of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority as well as concerned authorities, stressing that this comes within the framework of the company's national responsibility and its support for efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
The JPMC contributed JD 15,000 to the 'Takaful' Fund, which aims at supporting citizens who were economically affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
