Capacity of Iran's ports reaches 250 million tons


(MENAFN) The capacity of Iran's ports has stood at 250 million tons, according to Iranian Transport and Urban Development Minister Mohammad Eslami.

In the previous Iranian calendar year 1398, 147 million tons of commodities were transported through Iranian ports, as said by Eslami.

Eslami added that, the figure reached 134 million tons in the preceding year.

Transit of goods through Iran's ports also witnessed a 16 percent rise in the past year regardless of the U.S. sanctions, as the official said.
