Kuwait- KOC: employee tested negative for coronavirus


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) confirmed Thursday an Indian employee who was suspected of being infected with coronavirus was tested negative.
The KOC, in a statement, said it reacted immediately to social media reports that an Indian female employee was suspected of carrying the virus.
The building where the employee is working had been evacuated and sterilized, said KOC, and a Ministry of Health team tested the employee and the result was negative.
The employee, affirmed the company, would self quarantine for 14 days in line with MoU instructions.
KOC is committed to complying with MoU's guidelines, said the statement. (end)
