12 more coronavirus related deaths in Algeria

Health authorities in Algeria announced on Wednesday that 12 more people have died due to coronavirus in the country and 104 more people were diagnosed with the disease.

Djamel Fourar, Head of COVID-19 Detection and Follow-up Commission, said that the 12 deaths have occured in the last 24 hours in the country, which are less than the 20 deaths reported in a day earlier, adding that the number of deaths due to coronavirus has reached 205 in the country.

The daily number of coronavirus deaths in the country has been declining for the fourth consecutive day, the official said.

He added that 104 more patients have been diagnosed with the disease on Wednesday, increasing the total number of patients infected with coronavirus in Algeria to 1,572.

He said that the number of recoveries from the disease came in at a total of 237 patients.
