Qatari poets raise COVID-19 awareness through poems


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatari poets have converted the awareness messages about COVID-19 into meaningful poetry stanzas, urging people to follow the preventive and precautionary measures announced by the government to protect each other from coronavirus.
The beautiful stanzas, written by young Qatari poets in the form of famous Arabic poetry ‘Nabati', were shared by the Ministry of Culture and Sports on its social site.  
The poets said that the precaution is the best form of cure from the outbreak of coronavirus. It is tough time but there is no need to panic and people should just follow properly the instructions issued by the authorities concerned and ask others around you to do so, the poets expressed.

The young Qatari poet, Adil Abdullah Al Hajaji, said in the aforementioned stanza that the preventive measures will protect and care from coronavirus, Allah tested us with COVID-19, no need to scare or panic, just follow the instructions what you have been told to do.
He further said: 'We all are responsible to make everyone aware about the disease, stay at home do not say we are forced to do so.
Poet Mutib Ali Mohamad Al Marri said that coronavirus has spread all over the world, try to stop the infection as much as possible by following the preventive measures because prevention is better than cure.
Another poet Nasser Nahar Al Shammari said that coronavirus has infected large number of people who are showing harmful symptoms so at this time it is responsibility of a poet to write poetry to create awareness.
Poet Radi Mohamad Al Hajari said 'It is your duty to protect yourselves, your families and other people of the world from this fatal disease, said Al Hajari.
The expatriates are also participating actively in creating awareness about COVID-19. The leaders of expatriate communities are sharing video footage and written messages in their languages on their social sites and websites of their community organisations on daily basis.
They are doing their best to keep their fellow citizens updated about the latest information about coronavirus.
The authorities concerned including Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, Government Communication Office (GCO) and the Ministry of Public Health are providing accurate information about COVID-19 and how to prevent from it through various media channels, websites and social sites.
