Sri Lanka records fifth COVID-19 death


(MENAFN- NewsIn.Asia) Colombo, April 4 (newsin.asia) – A 44-year-old COVID-19 patient who was receiving treatment at the Welikanda Hospital, passed away a short while ago, bringing the total death toll from the virus to 5 in Sri Lanka.

Reportedly, the patient had been in quarantine upon returning from Italy recently. He had no other ailments.

A total of 159 confirmed COVID-19 patients have been reported in Sri Lanka as of today (4) with 24 having completely recovered and discharged while 130 are under observation.
