1 dead, 2 wounded in Vietnam truck accident

Vietnam News Agency said that a road crash invovling two trucks that took place in the Ninh Thuan province of central Vietnam has resulted in the death of one and left two others wounded on Monday.

The news agency said that a truck that was loaded with goods which was travelling from Nha Trang to southern Ho Chi Minh City crashed with another truck loaded with frozen shrimp on Monday, which has left the driver of the truck dead and resulted injuries to two others.

The National Committee for Traffic Safety in Vietnam said that the counry saw a total of 3,469 road crashes in the first quarter of the current year, a decline of 13.9 percent compared to a year earlier.

Over 17,600 road crashes took place in the country in the earlier year of 2019, claiming the lives of 7,600 people and leaving 13,900 others injured.
