Qatar- Authorities arrest 13 people for violating home quarantine conditions


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Ministry of Public Health announced on Wednesday that the competent authorities arrested 13 people who violated the requirements of the home quarantine, which they are legally accountable for, in accordance with the procedures of the health authorities in the country.

The Ministry said in a statement that the arrest of these people came in implementation of the precautionary measures in force in the country, approved by health authorities represented in the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the achievement of public safety, to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Ministry of Public Health added that the violators are currently being referred to prosecution, they are:

1- Jaber Abdul Hadi Ali Al Marri / Qatari citizen

2- Mohammed Salem Saif Al Athba Al Marri / Qatari citizen

3- Mohammed Salem Ali Jaber Al Yarboui/ Qatari citizen

4- Khalifa Hamad Hindi Mohammed Al Dossari / Qatari citizen

5- Ahmed Abdelrahman Youssef Ahmed Shams / Qatari citizen

6- Omran Mohammed Juma Al Omran Al Qubaisi / Qatari citizen

7- Hamad Omran Juma Al Omran Al Qubaisi / Qatari citizen

8- Saeed Mohammed Zayed Al Alam Al Khayarin / Qatari citizen

9- Fahad Mubarak Saeed Al Qadham Al Mansouri / Qatari citizen

10- Ali Mushabab Ali Abdullah Al Qahtani / Qatari citizen

11- Hamad Marhi Mohammed Amer Al Ghorab / Qatari citizen

12- Ghanem Husain Mohammed Al Tayyar Al Khayareen / Qatari citizen

13- Mohammed Saeed Haif Al Mazfari Al Hajri / Qatari citizen

The authorities concerned called on citizens and residents under home quarantine to fully commit to the Ministry of Public Health's condition, to ensure their safety and the safety of others. 

The Ministry of Public Health's statement stressed that everyone who violates the condition is subject to the penalties stated in article no. 253 of criminal law no. 11 of 2014, law no. 17 of 1990 on protection from infectious diseases, and law no. 17 of 2002 on protecting society.
