Two more deaths recorded in Iraq from coronavirus


(MENAFN) 2 more fatalities from coronavirus and 48 new cases of infections were recorded in Iraq, according to Iraq's Health Ministry.


As said in a statement by the ministry, the new cases were 9 in the capital Baghdad, 10 in Najaf, 6 in Basra, 5 in Erbil and Duhok each, 4 in Muthanna, 3 in Karbala, 2 in Wasit and one in the provinces of Kirkuk, Sulaimaniyah, Diyala and Maysan each.


As many as 506 cases have been registered in Iraq, 42 have died and 131 others were cured.


The Iraqi government has taken many actions recently to control the outbreak of coronavirus, including extending a nationwide curfew until April 11.
