Central Bank of UAE's gold reserve rises 38.8 percent to AED 5.615 billion


(MENAFN) In comparison with AED4.04 billion in December 2019, the Central Bank of the UAE's gold reserve increased 38.8 percent to AED 5.615 billion in February this year.


Since 2015, apex bank's reserves of gold rose largely which is the year when it decided to continue its reserves of gold and foreign currencies, most notably the USD and other main currencies, according to statistics released by the apex bank.


The worth of the gold bullions has been enhancing over the past two years, reaching AED1.134 billion and AED1.25 billion by the end of 2018 and H1 of 2019 respectively, as the official figures showed.


It also increased to AED2.7 billion in September 2019, before growing to AED4.04 billion by the end of same year.
