(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah lauded extensive measures carried by Kuwaiti authorities and people of the country to counter spread of menacing coronavirus (COVID-19), stressing that it was time to expand solidarity to overcome this global health crisis.

KUWAIT -- Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh said security forces and National Guards would enforce the law during the partial curfew, which aimed at curbing spread of coronavirus.

KUWAIT -- Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh said security institution takes into consideration conditions of elderly people and persons with disabilities while issuing permits to exempt them from restrictions relating to curfew.

KUWAIT -- Some 109 individuals finished the quarantine period for the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kuwait, bringing the total to 702, said a Health Ministry official.

KUWAIT -- Tests, used in rapid "point-of-care" coronavirus (COVID-19) detection, arrived in Kuwait, making it the first country in the region to obtain such method, said the Ministry of Health.

RIYADH -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz signed an order to impose a partial 11-hour curfew for 21 days starting Monday evening, part of the Kingdom's quest to stop spread of coronavirus. (end) bs
