(MENAFN - Pajhwok Afghan News) KINDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Two children and four militants have been killed in a bomb explosion in the capital of Takhar province police said on Friday.
Khalil Aseer, the Takhar police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast happened in the Chinzi area of Taloqan on Thursday evening.
A group of Taliban wanted to plant a roadside bomb in the area, but the explosive device went off prematurely and caused casualties to the rebels and local children.
Aseer said the explosion killed two children and wounded 13 others. At least four fighters were also killed seven others injured in the incident.
