Chinese police confiscate 22 kg of drugs

Local authorities said on Sunday that police in Yunnan province of southwest China have confiscated a total of 22.47 kg of opium drug in a drug smuggling case.

Police in the country of Mengla have dispatched a task force to look into a drug smuggling case after intelligence suggest that drug smugglers were making plans to smuggle drugs into the country on the 4th of March.

Police have discovered a suspicious man in a forest in the county at about 1:52 pm of the same day who escaped the location after he saw the police, the police seized a bag filled with 22.47 kg of opium that the man left.

Police are still performing further investigation into the case to find the culprit and those involved.
