61 dead in Bangladesh due to cold related illness

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Bangladesh released official figures under the Ministry of Health on Monday showing that 61 people in the country have died due to cold related illnesses since November.

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) has resulted in the death of 22 people across the country in the period from the 1st of November to the 23rd of February, according to the figures released by the state agency.

39 other people were killed due to diarrhea and other illnesses in the same period, the figures showed.

The data also showed that 93,828 people suffered of acute respiratory infection and 218,878 people were affected with diarrhea.
