Kuwait: oil fields in Neutral Zone to be restored to 550,000 barrels per day


(MENAFN) According to a Kuwaiti official, by the end of this year, oil production at the Khafji and Wafra oil fields in the Neutral Zone among Kuwait and KSA will be restored to 550,000 barrels for each day.


The comments were made on the sidelines of the launch of an electronic services program by Kuwaiti Minister of Oil, Electricity and Water Khaled Al-Fadhel.


As said by the minister, the Khafji and Wafra fields will continue experimental crude oil making on Sunday and the volume of the pumped crude would be steadily grew to the normal level.


Oil making at Wafra will stand at 140,000 barrels for each day, while the output at Khafji will grow to 250,000 barrels for each day for Kuwait's share by the end of this year.
