2 kids die in Indian Bengal due to occult practice

Police said on Saturday that two kids died and two others remain in the hospital after their parents took them to occultists in West Bengal of India.

The incident happened in Kadamtali village in the district of Malda that falls around 351 km to the north of Kolkata, West Bengal capital.

A police official said that "Last night four children from Kadamtali village were taken ill, following which their families took them to occultists (locally called tantrics). The children who had spent the day playing inside a jungle complained of sickness, following which their families thought they have been overtaken by some evil spirit".

Adding that "However after two hours the condition of the children worsened and one succumbed, the families brought the three children to Malda Medical College hospital, where another one succumbed".

The other two children are receiving the proper medical care in the hospital, police have started an investigation in order to determine the reason behind the death of the two other children.
