Qatar- HBKU's College of Islamic Studies concludes information session


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently concluded outreach activities to attract new students to its degree programmes.

In keeping with the wider HBKU network, the CIS sessions provided key information and study options for prospective students from Qatar, the Middle East and further afield.

Prospective students were introduced to CIS' six pioneering master's and PhD programmes, and the opportunities they bring to students enrolled in them.

The session included presentations which highlighted the unique aspects of each program, including but not limited to international student trips to study regional architecture or engage with international institutions, opportunities for students to participate in international conferences, and joint projects and collaborative initiatives.

CIS plans to have its next information session on Wednesday, February 26. Applications to its programs remain open until March 15, 2020.  

The college was founded to be a contemporary home for Islamic discourse, bringing high-caliber faculty and academically grounded students under one roof, to engage with topics that impact Muslim communities around the world.
