KUWAIT, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah inaugurated on Friday pavilions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Turkey village in the Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village, as part of the Gulf heritage festival, sponsored by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah, General Supervisor of the Heritage Village Advisor Mohammad Dhaif Allah Sharar and Village Director Saif Al-Shallahi accompanied by a large number of dignitaries and visitors toured the Gulf pavilions and the Turkish village.
Sheikh Ali told reporters, after the opening ceremony, that festival shows and helps preserve Arabian Gulf's civilization heritage and strengthens bonds among Gulf peoples.
Activities in the festival are considered a first-hand look into traditional household tasks, manufacturing, and heritage work that used to take place in the past, he said.
In a separate statement, Sheikh Ali noted that this village is considered an important part of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village due to the amount of exhibitions and arts, namely the Turkish civilization exhibitions, which boost cooperation between the two countries.
The minister said also the festival and Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village have become a setting for exchanging gulf, Arab, and Islamic cultures. (end) fsa.mb
