Ukraine, Austria should increase quota on international freight transport permits Kryklii

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Republic of Austria and Ukraine should increase a quota on international freight road transport permits, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii has stated.

He said this during a meeting with Austrian Ambassador to Ukraine Gernot Pfandler on February 14, the press service of the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry reported.

"Vladyslav Kryklii thanked for the positive consideration of the appeal on additional permits for Ukrainian international road carriers in 2019 and noted that the established quota does not fully meet the needs of Ukrainian carriers. In this regard, the minister announced the need to increase the number of permits for road carriers of both countries and proposed to liberalize road transport between Ukraine and Austria," the statement reads.

According to Kryklii, transport and logistics services are one of the key elements in the development of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Austria.

As Ukrinform reported, on December 27, 2019, the Transport e-Services Portal (e-transport.gov.ua), which is expected to cover electronic services from any segment of the transport industry, was launched in Ukraine.
