Houthi militants kill 3 soldiers in S. Yemen

(MENAFN)
A local security spokesman announced the killing of 3 soldiers and the injuring of 15 others after the Houthi militants targeted a government army base in Yemen's southern province of Abyan by air-raid on Tuesday.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source stated "The Houthi rebels fired a ballistic missile against the Amajed army base located in the district of Lawdar, northeast of Abyan, causing a huge explosion in the area."

"Initial information indicated that around 3 soldiers were killed and nearly 15 others injured as a result of the Houthi attack," he added.

Local hospitals received the wounded, most of whom in critical conditions, to proffer them treatment, the source said.
