13 Taliban activists killed in Afghanistan operation

Police spokesman in Baghlan province of Afghanistan, Ahmad Jawed Basharat, said on Wednesday that 13 activists, a Taliban local commander among then, were killed and 10 others were injured in the district of Baghlan-e-Markazi in the province.

The official said that the operation was conducted in Jar-e-Khushk area of the district on Tuesday where 13 militants, Mullah Khubi local commander among them, died and 10 others were injured.

A weapon cache of the militants has been destroyed, the official added.
The official said that a weapon cache of the activists was destroyed in the operation.

Taliban has not made any comments as of yet.
