(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) signed Wednesday a cooperation agreement with Djibouti news agency (Agence Djiboutienne d'Information - ADI).
KUNA's Chairman and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah and his Djiboutian counterpart Nasser Fahmy Abdullah signed the agreement.
It includes the exchange of information, news, investigative reports and photos, as well as exchanging visits and facilitating the task of press coverage between the two brotherly countries.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij stressed vitality of this agreement, which strengthens cooperation between the two agencies, especially for KUNA into the African continent, describing the step as an important addition to KUNA.
He also stressed KUNA's keenness to support the openness policy pursued by Kuwait in consolidating its relations with various countries, expressing happiness at the visiting Djibouti delegation.
On his part, ADI Director Abdullah told KUNA after the signing of the agreement that it would enhance journalistic work between the two agencies in covering various events and exchanging information and media experiences.
Abdullah hoped to receive representatives of KUNA in Djibouti in order to witness media and press coverage in various events.
Meanwhile, Director of communications and information at the Djiboutian ministry of communications Ibrahim Meyer considered that his country gives "great importance" to this agreement that would allow ADI to benefit from the vast experience of KUNA.
He stressed that this agreement will also have a significant impact on all media outlets in Djibouti; in developing its method in human resources and raising the level of press content.
The signing was attended by Ambassador of Djibouti to the country Mohammed Ali Moumin, KUNA's Deputy Director General for the Administrative and Communications' Sector in Abdulhamid Malak and Director of Marketing and Public Relations Issam Al-Ruwaiyeh. (end)
