Egypt's non-petroleum exports increase


(MENAFN) According to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry, in 2019, Egypt's non-petroleum exports stood at USD25.49 billion up from 25.14 billion in the year before.


The statement said that, Egypt's food exports rose to USD283 million in December, in comparison with USD251 million in December 2018.


Egypt's exports of foodstuff, agricultural crops, garments and engineering products witnessed an obvious increase in the first 10 months of 2019, as said by Ismail Gaber, head of the General Organization of Export and Import Control.


In December 2019, 25.49 percent of Egypt's non-oil exports went to Arab countries, European Union countries, United States and some African countries, Ismail Gaber added.
