2 solar power plants built in 2 counties of Tehran


(MENAFN) According to a report by Eghtesadonline news website, Iran has built 2 solar power plants in 2 counties of Tehran Province and both of the plants, respectively in the countries of Shahr-e-Rey and Damavand, cost USD10 million.


They will produce over 34 gigawatts of electricity for each year, and stop the production of 29,000 tons of carbon dioxide; Tehran Province now has 8 huge solar farms.


As said by Mohammad Sadeqzadeh, Iranian deputy energy minister, Iran has accomplished self-sufficiency in the building of solar power plants.


Over 115 large-scale solar power stations and more than 3,560 smaller installations in urban and rural parts are producing green energy across Iran.
