BEIRUT, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- Cement blocks and fences have been erected in downtown Beirut to prevent protesters from reaching the parliament at times of confrontations with the security forces.
A number of shops and companies around the parliament fortified their facades to limit the damage they inflict as a result of clashes between protesters and security forces.
These clashes, usually taking place at night, become sometimes fierce and cause damage to public and private properties, only for normal life to return to normal the next day and cleaners clean the mess caused by confrontations. (end) ayb.bs
