DOHA:  Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) is pleased to announce their participation as the gold sponsor for the upcoming Compliance and Combating Financial Crime Conference 2020. This year's conference, due to take place from 29-30 January 2020 at Sharq Village & Spa Hotel, is organised by Qatar Central Bank, Union of the Arab Banks (UAB), and the World Union of Arab Bankers (WUAB).

This conference is one of many forums that WUAB organizes as part of its intensive efforts to counter the escalating pattern of financial crime. Through this forum, WUAB is keen to join forces with international bodies and entities to safeguard Arab Banks and financial institutions from potential threats and challenges, and introduce state of art means of combating these threats, while abiding and complying with the regulatory framework and international best practices. Furthermore, WUAB is keen to highlight new trends and evolving patterns that enabled Arab Banks to introduce new products and services that benefit the financial consumer.
