U.S. sees steady crude oil production

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Thursday that the crude oil output in the United States has stayed the same in week ending on the 17th of January.

The EIA said that the crude oil output in the country has remained the same as the earlier week at 13 million barrels in a day, rising around 1.1 million b\d since a year before.

The crude oil output in the United States is predicted to stand at an average of 13.3 million and 13.7 million barrels in a day in the years 2020 and 2021 respectively, according to the most recent Short-Term Energy Outlook published by the EIA in the earlier week.

The EIA has also predicted that the country will become a net exporter of total crude oil and petroleum products by 0.8 million barrels in a day in 2020 and 1.4 million barrel in a day in 2021.
