2019 FDI in Uzbekistan surges

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced on Friday that the country has seen its foreign direct investment (FDI) post robust growth in the earlier year 2019 since a year before in 2019 to reach USD4.2 billion, almost 3.7 times the FDI recorded a year earlier in 2018.

The president announced in his yearly address to the parliament that his country is going to keep its economic reforms in order to attract more foreign investors to Uzbekistan.

The president also announced plans with priority goals for the advancement of the country.
