Qatar- Museum at Education City hosts talk by photographer


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Education City has hosted a talk by Moroccan-French photographer Touhami Ennadre. 
The event is a part of Mathaf Talks, an ongoing series of public lectures where museum experts, creatives and specialists engage in conversations on art history and artistic practices, locally and internationally.
After opening remarks by Abdellah Karroum, director, Mathaf, Ennadre discussed his photography career that spans more than 40 years and shared special insights on photography as an artistic expression.
Celebrated within the international contemporary photography scene, Ennadre is known for his unique style of black-and-white photography and his work is part of major museum collections such as the Studio Museum in Harlem in New York (US), Frac Aquitaine in Bordeaux (France) and Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, France. 
In recent years, his work has been influenced by key post-millennial events such as 9/11 and the Arab Spring, according to a statement by Qatar Museums.
