Bloodshed clashes between gov't forces, Houthi rebels in S Yemen left 10 dead

According to a military administrator, ten soldiers from both sides of Yemen's government forces and the Houthi rebels were killed after severe clashes broke out between the 2 forces on Thursday in the country's southern province of Dhalea.

The local official said on condition of anonymity"The government forces engaged in intense clashes with the Houthi attackers who were trying to advance in the northern parts of Dhalea".

He added "The government forces repulsed the Houthi attack and killed six of the rebels while four soldiers also died in this battle that continued for hours".

The sites of the government forces in the northern parts of Dhalea were prepared to be aggressively attacked by but faced strong resistance the Houthis who were countered by unexpected resistance from the opposite force, said the official.
