Exports, imports of oil in U.S. drop

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Thursday that the crude oil exports, imports in the United States dropped in the week ending on the 17th of January.

The weekly petroleum status report by the EIA showed that the imports of crude oil in the U.S. stood at an average of 6.43 million barrels in a day in the week, a decline of 120,000 b/d since a week before, the exports of crude oil came in at an average of 3.41 million b/d, a drop of 67,000 b/d since the earlier week.

The imports of crude oil came in at an average of 6/52 million b/d day in the last four weeks, a drop of 1.22 million b/d since the earlier year, the exports of crude oil came in at an average of 3.61 million barrels in a day, representing a rise of 1.28 million b/d since the earlier year.
