Indian singer, Sonu Nigam, plays live in Doha today


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The successful and versatile Sonu Nigam, will perform live in a concert today in Asian Town Amphitheater by 7:30pm. The event is presented by Q-Tickets, under the aegis of Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), and as part of Shop Qatar.
Sonu Nigam, is widely regarded as the Best Playback singer in India. Having performed at the early age of four for the first time, today Sonu Nigam is a well-known powerhouse in his own right.

The details about the concert were given in a press conference held yesterday at Concorde Hotel Doha. The press conference was attended by Sonu Nigam and representatives from the concert organiser. 
Music has been in his journey throughout which made him gaze through various aspects of life and reach its divine music destiny. So, it's time to tune in some soulful songs of Sonu Nigam, as he makes his way to the city of Doha where he will be witnessing more than 16,000 audience in Asian Town Amphitheater Doha, Qatar. Nigam's vast repertoire of multilingual renditions has won him a fan base that includes influential vocalists from Kerala to Kashmir, be they singers of vintage Bollywood numbers (K.J. Yesudas, Manna Dey, the Mangeshkar sisters) or contemporary stars (Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan).
Born in Faridabad in the Northern Indian State of Haryana, the only son of singer/composer Agam Kumar Nigam, he showed an early talent for singing and impersonations.
National fame eluded him until he joined the cast of reality TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (a version of America's Star Search with a distinctly Indian flavour) back in 1995.
The Bollywood sensation has sung more than 10,000 songs, thrived with over 40 mainstream awards. He was honored with the Magnificent Performing Arts Award at the 21st Century Icon Awards in London.
He was also warded ‘Best Playback Male Singer' in Annual Central European Bollywood Awards, India for his songs: Kurbaan (2010), Main Agar Kahoon (2009).
He received the Apsara Film Producers Guild Awards as ‘Best Playback Singer' in 2003 for his all-time famous song Kal Ho Naa Ho. In 2012, he reaped another recognition for his song Abhi Mujhe mein Kahin (Agneepath).
