Jordan's fuel bill down 24pct in first 11 month of 2019 at JD 2.05bln


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 22 (Petra) -- The value of Jordan's imports of crude oil and its derivatives slumped by 24.1 percent in the first 11 months of 2019 down to JD2.05 billion, official data showed.
In the same period of 2018, the kingdom's bill of oil and its derivatives amounted to about JD2.7 billion, the General Statistics Department said on Wednesday.
The data also showed that the value of crude oil imports in the Jan-Nov period of 2019 edged down to JD721 million against 804 million in the corresponding period of 2018.
By the end of November 2019, the value of gasoline imports amounted to about JD427 million, compared to JD473 million in the same period of 2018. Regarding natural gas imports, they increased to reach JD220 million compared with JD36 million in the same period of 2018.
