Jordan- Dams' storage levels at 36%, says Minister


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 19 (Petra) -- The latest depression channeled 1.2 million cubic meters (mcm) of water into the Kingdom's main dams, an official source announced.
In a statement, Minister of Water and Irrigation, Ra'ed Abu Al-Saud, said dams, which can hold 336.4 mcm, now hold around 122 mcm, or 36 percent of their total storage capacity.
The country's long-term annual average of rainfall of 8.1 billion cubic meters has been now realized by almost 67 percent or 5.524 mcm since the start of the wet season.
