Moroccan airline to launch 1st non-stop flights between Casablanca, Beijing

RABAT, Jan 17 (NNN-XINHUA) — The Moroccan national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) launched on Thursday the first non-stop flights between Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca and Beijing Daxing International Airport.

The flight will be operated by B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 302 seats, including 26 in business class, RAM said in a statement.

The duration of the flight will be less than 13 hours, with three frequencies per week, it said.

The statement noted that departure from Casablanca will be scheduled every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

As for return flights from Beijing, it will be scheduled every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

A big Moroccan delegation, including officials, businessmen and journalists, took part in the inaugural flight.

According to Moroccan officials, the new link will strengthen trade and economic relations between Morocco and China as well as human and cultural exchanges. — NNN-XINHUA
