(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Jan. 16 (Petra) -- A group of Jewish extremist settlers, on Thursday, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Haram Al Sharif compound in occupied Jerusalem, a Palestinian source confirmed.
In a statement to Petra's reporter in Ramallah, General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib, said today's raid was carried out by a number of radical settlers and students under the protection of Israeli intelligence members .
"The extremists, accompanied by occupation soldiers, toured the mosque's courtyards and performed their Talmudic rituals," Al-Khatib added.
