Qatar- Education Ministry pavilion at Book Fair draws crowds


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The pavilion of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at 30th Doha International Book Fair witnessed a great turnout by school students and teachers and various groups of society.
The Ministry is holding activities and events that suit the ages and tendencies of visitors, in order to attract their attention and highlight the importance of reading through recreational and educational activities, making it attractive and varied for all visitors.
The participation of the Ministry in the Book Fair comes as part of its endeavours to establish bonds between culture and science lovers and those who want to learn more through the programs presented in the pavilion. 
The activities include plays, competitions, comics and read stories and scientific experiences that benefit students in particular. 
The Doha International Book Fair is running in the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) and it will continue until January 18, which is an appropriate opportunity for family members to learn more about the activities that universities and other educational institutions participate in.
Samah Hossam from Al Salam Elementary School for Girls said that the students of the second elementary class presented the activity (legends of the story) that encourages school students to read motivational, and a play was presented about Muslim scholars and the West, such as Ibn Al Nafees and Einstein, and the idea of the play returns from two students who carry out scientific research in the school.
Teacher Dhawi Mohamed Al Mansoori, responsible for learning resources from Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Model School for Boys, said: 'We participated in the competition (the library that promotes reality) that seeks to activate technology within the educational process, and attract students to knowledge and reading through their use of electronic programs and modern phone applications.
The Juwairiya Bint Al-Harith Primary School for Girls participated in a theatrical presentation entitled (tourist notes), and the presentation included a narration of a story and then activities, and the story was about the most famous landmarks in Qatar such as Qatar Islamic Museum, Qatar National Museum, Aspire Park, and Souq Waqif. Al-Faisal International Academy also presented a variety of anecdotal series entitled (The World's Box).
The Literary Path Department at Al-Huda Primary School for Girls reviewed the Shadow Fantasy Theater, which was presented in a different and new way through transparent and lighting, in addition to an activity entitled: (I make my own small fingertips factory) which is specialized in the category of the child who invites him to make his own theatre.
