Georgian Embassy donates books to Qatar University Library


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Embassy of Georgia to Qatar has donated over 70 books to Qatar University's (QU) Library, which include a range of topics such as books on the culture of Georgia, diplomacy, dictionaries, Georgian cuisine and books written in the Georgian language. 

The donation took place in the presence of Nikoloz Revazishvili, Ambassador of Georgia to Qatar; Giorgi Kekelidze, General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia; Dr. Omar Al Ansari, QU Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Asma Al Buainain, Acting Director of the QU Library.

Dr. Omar Al Ansari, expressed his happiness and thanks for the generous donation, which will undoubtedly enrich the QU Library. Asma Al Buainain also expressed her thanks and appreciation for the valuable donation, which will act as distinctive additions to the growing collections. The books relating to Georgia will enhance the library's role in providing resources on a diverse range of cultures.

Coinciding with the timing of the donation, QU is currently highlighting its services via a booth at the 30th Doha International Book Fair, which will continue until January 18 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. The QU Library will play a prominent role in the booth and aims to inform visitors of its resources.
